Pilot Point used a safety and a 1-yard touchdown run by Travis Garrett in the final 1:39 of the first half to take a 10-7 lead.

Pilot Point looked on its way to converting an interception by Zac Harrell inside the 10 into a game-tying touchdown before a fumble by Tristan Jurecka at the 4-yard line recovered by Bowie. The turnover allowed Bowie to hold 7-0 lead at end of first quarter.

Bowie turned the fumble by Pilot Point on the opening kickoff into a 37-yard drive and a 5-yard touchdown run by Marcus Vaughan to take a 7-0 lead with 8:47 left in first.

Bowie recovered a Pilot Point fumble on the opening kickoff.
