U.S. 380 closures in Denton County

The westbound lane of U.S. 380 from the Collin/Denton County line to Windsong Parkway will be closed nightly at the intersection for several weeks from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Feb. 28 for placement of bridge beams.

Card Making at Johnson Branch

The Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch Unit, 100 PW 4153 in Valley View will have Card Making: Wildlife Love, 11 a.m. Saturday, Nature Center; Fast & the Furriest, 10 a.m. March 8, Nature Center; Soil & Sediment, noon March 8, Nature Cetner; and Spring Fling, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 15, Kid Fish Pond.

The Isle du Bois Unit, 100 PW 4137 in Pilot Point will offer Nature Center Exploration Day, 10:30 a.m. Feb. 22, Nature Center, and Career Day, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 1, Nature Center.

The Pilot Point Community Library at 324 S. Interactive display, craft at Aubrey library

HOPE Food Ministry in need of items

HOPE Food and Clothing Ministry is in need of food to restock the food pantry at 819 W. Sherman Drive in Aubrey.

Requested items include all types of pasta, spaghetti sauce, rice, mac and cheese, bagged/canned beans, peanut butter, jelly, canned meats and oatmeal.

Tic-Tac-Toe Leap in February

The 2nd annual Tic-Tac-Toe Leap will be held during the month of February. Participants can pick up a game card at Martin General Store, 101 S. Jefferson St.

Fine Arts Program to start spring classes

The spring 2025 Pilot Point Fine Arts Program will begin classes in February with a showcase performance planned for 3 p.m. April 26.

Available classes include choir (ages 8-12), 5 p.m. Sundays; handbells (ages 8-12), 4 p.m. Mondays; music and art (ages 3-5), 4 p.m. Thursdays; and music and art (ages 6-7), 4 p.m. Thursdays at Pilot Point First United Methodist Church, 217 S. Church St.

Aubrey Disco Dazzle Father Daughter Dance

The North & East Texas Press Association, in conjunction with the Texas Press Association, will award two $1,500 scholarships to eligible candidates. Lovepacs requests donations, drivers

Lovepacs is requesting the following donations: cereal, canned pasta, chili, spaghetti sauce (canned), tuna, peanut butter, jelly (plastic jars), ramen, mac and cheese, soup, instant oatmeal packets, microwave popcorn, snacks and granola bars.

Area drop-off sites include Brookshire Brothers and Martin General Store in Pilot Point; Patrick Nolin Farmers Insurance Agency and The Peanut Gallery in Aubrey; and One Mane Place in Krugerville.

Delivery drivers are needed every Wednesday morning for about an hour as weekend bags are delivered to schools in the Aubrey, Pilot Point and 380 Corridor. For more information, email aubrey@lovepacs. org.

Drivers needed for Meals on Wheels
