NETPA scholarship deadline information
The North & East Texas Press Association, in conjunction with the Texas Press Association, will award two $1,500 scholarships to eligible candidates. Applicants must be from the geographic area served by NETPA and have a declared major in journalism/ communications/photojournalism with preference given to print majors.

Second annual 100 Hearts event
The City Center Churches of Pilot Point will host the second annual 100 Hearts event at 5:30 p.m. March 18 at the Pilot Point Senior Center, 310 S. Washington St.
They are seeking 100 participants to bring $100 to donate to a nonprofit benefitting Pilot Point. The nonprofit with the most votes has the potential to receive up to $10,000.

Carter BloodCare to award scholarships
Carter BloodCare is offering two scholarships to high school seniors worth $2,500 each. To enter, eligible students must create and share social media content on the importance of donating blood, encouraging others to donate, a transfusion patient’s story or another required topic. Deadline for entries is April 30.

Lovepacs requests donations, drivers
Lovepacs is requesting the following donations: ramen, applesauce cups or pouches, oatmeal, Pop-Tarts, microwave popcorn, granola bars, mac and cheese or pasta cups.
Area drop-off sites include Brookshire Brothers, Martin General Store and Pilot Point Community Library in Pilot Point; Patrick Nolin Farmers Insurance Agency and The Peanut Gallery in Aubrey; and One Mane Place in Krugerville.
