Vital Vultures at Isle du Bois

The Ray Roberts Lake State Park Johnson Branch Unit, 100 PW 4153 in Valley View will have Nature Journaling, 10 a.m. March 29, Kid Fish Pond, and Junior Ranger Games, 1 p.m. March 29, Kid Fish Pond.

The Isle du Bois Unit, 100 PW 4137 in Pilot Point will host Vital Vultures, 10 a.m. March 29, Lost Pines Amphitheater; Squirrel Olympics, 2 p.m. March 29, Nature Center; and Prairie Restoration Volunteer Day, 9 a.m. April 13, Bluestem Grove parking lot.

Flag Program for Rotary Club

The Lake Ray Roberts Rotary Club is offering the annual flag program serving the Pilot Point, Aubrey and Krugerville communities. The cost is $50 per year and includes an American flag to be placed in a front yard or place of business on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Patriots Day and Veterans Day.

This program helps fund high school scholarships for Aubrey and Pilot Point, donations to Shepherd’s Storehouse and Love-Pacs, dictionaries for Pilot Point and Aubrey third graders, and local students to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.

American Legion benefit to Restore the Rig

The American Legion Post 550 will host a benefit to help restore a 1942 fire truck that once served as a vital part of Pilot Point’s fire department at 6 p.m. Saturday at 905 Foundation Drive.

Murder Mystery at the coffee house

PDSES grants available online

Parent-Directed Special Education Services provides a $1,500 one-time grant to parents of students who are both enrolled in a Texas public school and receive special education services. The application window closes March 31.

Flower Festival on Historic Square

Pilot Point Main Street will have its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. April 12 at Old City Park followed by the Flower Festival from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on the Historic Pilot Point Square.

The city is seeking gardening and plant vendors, home décor and handmade vendors. There will be an Easter bonnet contest, gardening workshops, live music and chalk art.

Bingo, cake walk, tacos at Aubrey HS

The Aubrey High School Chaparral Band will sponsor a Bingo, Cake Walk & Tacos event at 5 p.m. April 12 at Aubrey High School cafeteria, 510 Spring Hil Road.

Aubrey to host Easter egg hunt

The city of Aubrey will host its annual Easter egg hunt from 10 a.m.-noon April 12 at Veterans Memorial Park. There will be food trucks, bounce houses and vendors.
